"The glamour of the East had cast its spell upon him; the mystery of lands in which no white man had set foot since the beginning of things had fired his imagination; the itch of travel was upon him, goading him to restlessness"

The beautiful Marrakesh

This is where il be spending the christmas hollidays! The BEAUTIFUL City if Marrakesh in Morocco. To celebrate my turning of 21 (eeeek!) il be jetting off for 5 days to the "Red City" right in the heart of North Africa.

Marrakech has the LARGEST traditional market in Morocco so as you can imagine im overly excited to snap up lots of Moroccon goodies and photograph the beautiful North African atmosphere in one of the busiest squares in the world bustling with acrobats, story-tellers, dancers and musicians, By moon light and lanterns i shall be sampling the rich foods from the food stalls open in the square turning it into a huge open-air restaurant. I can feel my senses tingling already!

I will be staying at Le Riad Monceau. A traditional Maroccon Riad Right in the heart of the old town, just a stones throw from the sights and smells of the city. Riad Monceau is a true gem of Hispano-Moorish architecture. This quote from their website gives me goose-pimples with excitement!

"You will be enchanted by the refreshing cool and dazzling luminosity of the Andalusian patio, paved with Carrare marble and boasting a fine swimming pool inlaid with traditional mosaic, by the spacious sun-drenched terraces with views of the Koutoubia and the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas, and by the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant, where you can savour the very finest in Moroccan cuisine."
